Adult males have a black and white stripe pattern that divides blue/green and yellow anterior with a blue head. Adult females are turquoise with two black stripes.

Facts
These fish are generally peaceful within a community, but may become territorial to other wrasses and should be one of the last fishes added. These wrasses bury themselves in the sand for sleeping so not to worry if you don’t see them out and about during the evening after the lights are out. A lid on the aquarium is recommended as they may jump.
