The French Angel begins as black with yellow stripes. As it matures, the stripes begin to change to a yellow flecked pattern and the addition of yellow on its front and fins. Not considered reef safe as it often develops a taste for coral and sometimes inverts as well. Also similar to most angelfish, the French is considered semi-aggressive.
