Facts
Sea cucumbers require a sand substrate of 2mm or finer and they eat any detritus in the sand along with the sand itself. For every 3 inches of sea cucumber, there should be at least 20 gallons of water. When stressed or dying, they can release a poisonous venom that is toxic to other aquarium inhabitants. If it looks like it is dying or dead, pull from the tank immediately. They are not tolerant of high nitrates or copper.
