Facts
The Sparkling Gourami is a peaceful fish that should be housed with fish species of similar temperaments and sizes. Males and females are not sexually dimorphic, meaning they can't be visually distinguished through fin shape and/or colouration. They do best in a well-planted tank. The Gouramis are labyrinth fish, meaning they have poorly developed gills, and need easy access to the water surface so that they can breathe using their unique breathing organ, the labyrinthine.
