Xanthichthys auromarginatus
Appearance
Beautiful coloration with a light blue body and almost iridescent spots and the naming blue throat. Males have yellow rimming on their fins as pictured below.

These triggers are known to be one of the more reef safe triggerfish, but can at times be curious towards smaller inverts. They are carnivorous and need to be fed a varied diet of mysis and krill.

Blue Throat Triggers are considered reef safe with caution and semi-aggressive. Triggers have teeth that continuously grow therefore frozen shelled clams and snails are important to ensure the teeth do not over grow.
