Snails are an essential part of your cleanup crew, but they aren’t all the same!
Astrea snails like to spend the time on your glass to help it look as clear as they can, but they can fall over easily and sometimes could use a hand getting back upright. Turbo snails are great for hair algae on rocks. Pink turbans tend to do a bit of both rock and glass. Nassarius snails are the sandsifters. They go into your sandbed to keep it clean and aerated, and you may think that they’re not there until you put some food in the tank! Trocus are the magical snail that can do a bit of everything and have a great ability to turn themselves right side up. There’s also the bumblebee snails. They don’t do much but sure are cute!
